Weekly Press Dec. 20th – 26th

The Prowlers suffered their second loss of the season to the #3 ranked Warroad Warriors Tuesday night at the Gardens.   The first period the two teams were held at a 0-0 stalemate.  Both teams played very tough defensibly.  It was not until the 2nd period when Brady Meunier tallied the first goal of the game to give the Prowlers a 1-0 lead.  The Prowlers defense was able to shut the high powered offense of the Warriors for the 2 consecutive periods.  The Warriors scored twice in the 3rd, both goals coming early in the period.  The Prowlers continued to battle back, but Warroad net minder Shawn Storey was able to close the door on the Prowlers and hand the Prowlers a 2-1 loss.

The TRF holiday tournament will give the Prowlers another good test as they face the #4 ranked Hermantown Hawks.  Hermantown comes into the game with a 5-1 record.  The Prowlers will also face the Hutchinson Tigers, who are the defending section champs of 3A, and the St. Louis Park Orioles.
