Camp Director Tim Bergland
FORMER NHL Player FOR THE WASHINGTON CAPITALS
AND TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING -
Tim
played professional hockey
for 12 years and is currently in charge of Acceleration Minnesota at the Ralph
Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls. Tim possesses not only a vast
amount of on ice knowledge but is an expert in strength and plyometrics
training.
Tim has also been a member of the US
national team where they placed second in the world cup. Tim was nicknamed the "Ironman" in Chicago
in which he held a record for games played. Tim is a hardworking forward both on and off the ice. A big reason for
the "Ironman's" success is his dedication to weight training in the off season.
Tim has a positive attitude and does not give up, this has been evident throughout his career. In 1997-1998 the Chicago
Wolves were Turner Cup Champions. Tim was a key player in the Wolves success. Tim was a four year letterman
at the University of Minnesota. Tim (Bergy) served as the Gopher captain his senior year. He was a Williams Scholar
and was named as the "Gophers Unsung Hero" his senior year.
Head Prowler Coach Scott Bergland - Scott Bergland is a 1979 graduate of the Lincoln High
School Prowlers. Scott continued his hockey career at Northland Community College, and the College of St. Thomas
were he served as captain his senior year. Scott has been actively involved in the Thief River Hockey Program at
all levels throughout his coaching career. Coach Bergland was instrumental in taking Northland Community College
to its first Community College state title in 1987-88. It has always been a dream of Coach Bergland to coach the
Prowler High School hockey team which he has done for 10 years. Coach Bergland's main goal
has always been to return the Prowlers to the state tournament.
In 2006 Coach Bergland realized his life long dream when the Prowlers returned
to State for the first time in 41 years.
Coach Todd R. Bergland
- Todd Bergland is a 1981
Graduate of the Lincoln High School Prowlers and is currently Coaching
High School hockey in Maple Grove (Crimson). Todd Bergland is
a former Prowler Asst. Coach, Junior Varsity Coach, Coach of the Wayzata Midgets and a long time youth
hockey coach. Todd played Collegiate hockey at the University of
Wisconsin- Superior. Todd is extremely passionate about the game of
hockey. His focus is on power skating and individual skills. Todd is
also a veteran of 14 Marathons and recently qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2005
and 2006.

Corey Poole - Corey Poole is a 1989 Graduate of the
Lincoln High School Prowlers and is currently the Head Coach of
the Prowler Girls team.

The Keith Anderson Story 1997-98: Won the Roland Vandell Award for Outstanding Freshman
on the
Huskies team ... had five goals and 11 assists in 31 games ... Had threepower-play goals ... Had one game-winning
goal ... Had first point in his first collegiate game (an assist) against Mankato State on Oct. 24 ... Had two
points in four different games ... had a three-game point streak in mid-season ... Took only seven penalties for
14 minutes.

Wendell Grand -
Prowler Assistant Coach
Wendell Grand is a graduate of Roseau High School.
Wendell participated in the State Hockey Tournament as a player for Roseau High School Rams. He then moved on to
be an assistant coach at Coleraine High School before taking the head coaching position in Thief River Falls. A
long time head coach in TRF, Wendell is currently in his second year as assistant coach.
